Health Walk Tuesday 21st June 2011

Carole writes:

A small but intrepid band of walkers met for the now WEEKLY TUESDAY walk.  A very black cloud hovered over the park, but we set off, undaunted.  Carole, Helen, Jacquie, Debbie and Gaz set off from Clayton Green Leisure Centre just after ten o'clock.

Jacquie was elected to lead the walk, and we set off down the path, turning right at the ASDA entrance, down towards the lake.  Passing the lake, we turned left down the main path.  Crossing Sheep Hill Lane, we took the path towards Kem Mill.

Having reached the ruins of Kem Mill, we stopped for a few minutes, before returning back to base for welcome refreshments and a chat.

The walk was undoubtedly longer than Gaz had intended, taking well over an hour, well one hour and fifty minutes, but was much enjoyed and we all felt better for it.
