Health Walk - Tuesday 15th November - from the Sports Centre.  We had a good turnout today and we were joined by another Elizabeth!  Nine plus Gaz without regulars, Jacquie and Carole.
Gaz led us into the Park, we walked along the top path and eventually down to the south side of the lake:

Yet again we came across the workers, two volunteers, a ranger and the Manager this time.

The river was down to normal level this week and you can see the ford road and stepping stones.  Some of the walkers can't resist making a fuss of the dogs we come across!

We set off in sunshine but by now it had clouded over.  We could see lots of blue but the sun was hiding behind a large cloud.  This is a view of the Hall from the cycle track.  We entered Cock Cabin Wood:

Along the cinder path and up to the Hall where you can just make out the track that the Townley-Parkers and other residents used to go down to Stag Lodge and up to St. Saviour's Church.

We've walked round the lake and are on our way uphill back to the Sports Centre.  This tree always fascinates me because it must have been uprooted in a storm many years ago yet it still bursts into leaf every spring.
