Health Walk

Tuesday 24th January 2012 - Only a few of us turned up today, five.  June woke up with a sore throat and Jim was looking after her, Dedrah took her daughter's dog for a walk earlier and came home not feeling well, Mary opted for the Thursday walk and we don't know what happened to Jacquie and Carole.  It wasn't a very nice day, fine rain but thankfully no wind.

We set off and decided to brave the cows while Mary wasn't with us.  However there weren't any cows and the field wasn't as wet as we feared.

Approaching the Pinetum, Gareth decided we'd go up past the Hall and along the Cinder Path.  Blake and Kerry are doing fine, Gareth said it's hard to believe he's a month old already.

As we got round the Hall Sue decide she was too tired to go on so she opted to go and wait from me in Sue Rider's Cafe where they made her feel at home with a cup of tea.  Irene came in so she had a companion to talk with until I arrived.

Coming up from the lake, Helen, Elizabeth and Elizabeth - yes we have two Elizabeths.

(Blackburn) Elizabeth had to dash off to a meeting so we were down to only four for 'tea and biscuits'.

When I arrived at the Sue Rider Cafe Sue was fully rested and talking to Irene as I said above.  We had our lunch there, we had planned to go to Salisbury's cafe but the Sue Rider Cafe is quite homely.  I couldn't resist buying a few books, well five!  Sue found a nice top.

The next walk is this Thursday from the Barn when Brian will be leading.
