Thursday 5th April - It was a lovely morning - there were twelve of us as we set out from the Barn.

Photo 1 - we left the Barn and walked through the Pinetum on the top path. Down to the New Bridge where we looked to see if we could see any fish - no luck. Then we walked along the cycle track and into Gravel Hole Wood, Dog Kennel Wood and on to the path to Hawksclough and here you see us descending to the the Lake.

Photo 4 - We crossed the Stone Bridge and right into the wood whose name I don't know. As we came out on to the cycle track again we had our third rest.
We walked through Cock Cabin Wood to Cock Cabin Pond - photos 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. One member of our party took a short cut through the wood to the pond - guess who. Here we had our final rest before heading down the Cinder Path - photo 11 - this was the first time I've seen the sun shining along the cinder path.
