It felt like a lovely summers day, warm and sunny.  Hardly any wind to start with so Di & Mel opted to do the Rescue Boat and OOD.

Two ships were expected so Ivan set the course for the first race: Bs, As, As, As, Ts x 3 laps

Result 1st Race:

1st – Ivan Haslam – Laser
2nd – David & Barbara Sharples – GP14
3rd – Michael Swarbrick & Jaja Thompson – Dart 15

The second race was over the course Bs, Gs, Ap, 14s, Ts x 3 laps but the wind died away and with the strong ebb the race was shortened to two laps.

Jason Kennedy in his GP14, Condor, being introduced to the estuary by Ian.  Jason is hoping to become a member at the next committee meeting.   They joined in the second race to allow Michael & Jaja to not finish last.

Result 2nd Race:

1st – Ivan Haslam – Laser
2nd – David & Barbara Sharples – GP14
3rd – Michael Swarbrick & Jaja Thompson – Dart 15
4th – Ian Sharples & Jason Kennedy – GP14

Ivan has further strengthened his lead in the series, The North West Icicle Series:

Leading - Ivan Haslam – Laser – 3 points

2nd – Mel Vause & Di Hickman – Enterprise – 8 points
3rd – Ian & Barbara Sharples – GP14 – 10 points
4th - Michael Swarbrick & Jaja Thompson – Dart 15 – 14 points
