Yesterday it was again too windy to sail although a crusier launched and sailed up and down.

Racing took place but again only two boats were brave enough to take to the water in a northerly wind varying from F4 to F6.  It was cold but sunny.

Ivan volunteered to be the OOD.

Because of the northerly wind the start line was between to racing mark T and the new little yellow mark Chablis (remember this mark is on the old ‘tractor balance weight’ mooring and has for the last year or so had two white cans on it, which disappeared at high water.)

The course was the same for both races but the second was only over two laps, one less than the first:  Hp – Cs – Gs – Ap – Chablisp.

The start of the first race.  Nick is leading Martin & Giles.

Martin & Giles now in the lead.  I hadn’t noticed the snow on the hills until I put the photo on the computer.

This is the best close up I have of Martin & Giles.

Nick, Blaze, 740, finished first in the first race but was behind Martin & Giles, RS400, 694, in the second however, Nick won both races on handicap.

The racers just managed to get off the water in time before the storm clouds, approaching from the north, broke to rain snow and hail on Glasson.
