Health Walk - Tuesday 10th March 2015

A gloriously sunny spring day! Twelve of us today, our best Tuesday number for a few weeks.
Elizabeth M evolved as leader today with Bernadette, Carmel, Carol, Elizabeth H, Jacqueline, Jim, June, Mary, Michael, Sandy and Sue.

hoping to see the Nuthatch and Long Tailed Tits again on the feeder however there was a Great Tit.

Elizabeth marched on taking the other down Cardiac Hill to the valley bottom where Michael caught them up again

Turning left we walked along the valley bottom, Cycle Tack,

alongside the river.

The rest of us walked up to the Lake hoping to see the Grebes but we only saw one

We disturbed three Mallards resting in the sun, two males to each female. Photo 9 shows the Black Headed Gulls just taking off and circling and again another group, two males to each female.

Back down to the Stone Bridge where
Bernadette, Jacqueline, Mary and Michael elected to walk up Snake Hill back to the Barn. Carmel, Carole, Elizabeth H, Elizabeth M and Sandy walked up to Cock Cabin Wood and back via the Cinder Path.

We all met up in the Barn where Elizabeth M had a piece of birthday cake for all of us.
