Thursday 19th September - a lot of us are away on holiday but six of us braved the rain and enjoyed a walk, Pinetum - Gravel Hole Wood - Dog Kennel Wood - The Lake - Cock Cabin Wood - Cinder Path, and the craic afterwards.  Sorry no pictures and not many reports recently, been busy with other things.

Thursday 5th September - sorry no photos again or indeed report.  I've temporarily given up the Tuesday walks because I've so many other demands on my time.  Most reports are much of a muchness but today was something slightly different.
Sunny pleasant morning, eighteen of us walking with Michael leader.  Michael felt adventurous and was determined to find a different route!  We all set off together from the Barn and entered the Pinetum eventually reaching the stile into the Cow Field.  After a little heated discussion the 'short route walkers' carried on through Gravel Hole Wood into Dog Kennel Wood.  Michael led the other walkers, some reluctant at this stage, up into the Cow Field, no cows visible, and across Cam Lane into Green Wood.
Meanwhile the shorter group walked round the lake and rested on one of the picnic tables before proceeding up the hill back to the Barn - a much longer 'short walk' than usual.
The main group walked along the top and reached the Lake, pausing at the Stone Bridge for another discussion.  By now everyone was enjoying themselves and eagerly elected to go on up to Cock Cabin Wood - after all it may be the last day of summer - and home via the Cinder Path walking past the Sue Rider Cafe.
