Starting from the Barn. . . . . we set off on our walk, ten of us (plus Sue) despite the gloom, ice and cold. The ground was very slippy; where should we walk that would be safest? We decided to walk round . . . .
Starting from the Sports Centre, six of us, Elizabeth, Helen, Liz, Michael, Sandy and Peter, with Gareth stepped out into the rain and before we got into the Park it had stopped! Surprisingly no more rain . . .
Starting from the Barn, eleven wrapped up souls headed for the Cinder Path. Brian decided we'd keep to the better paths for safety as it was still rather frosty but the sun was shining, much to our delight. . . . .
Starting at the Sports Centre, seven of us plus Gareth set out. Overcast but not not raining. Gareth looked round enquiringly but as no one spoke up he led us off . . . . . .
Starting from the Barn today we were seven, several of the regulars were unable to come. Perhaps the threat of heavy rain deterred some of us but it was dry and relatively warm. . . . . .
Starting at the Sports Centre, eight of us plus Gareth set out. Fairly warm again but overcast, will it rain? To gloomy for photographs. Gareth wondered where we should walk today? . . . .
Tuesday 13th November - Starting from the Town Brow car park we were again the lucky thirteen. It was dry but not much hope of sunshine today however it was warm. . . .
Starting from the Barn we were lucky thirteen. It was dry and there was a chance of sunshine today? Jacquie and Carole led off purposely, under Brian's direction, into . . . . . .
. . . . . The trees are still very colourful but oh for a little sunshine for them to sparkle - I've been elsewhere when the sun has been shining. . . . . .
Back to normal again from the Sports Centre . Nine of us plus Gareth. Fairly warm but overcast, we occasionally saw patches of blue sky but they never allowed the sun through for us, which is such a shame, the Park is a riot of colour, it just needs the sun to add sparkle. . . . . .
The regular Thursday walk from the Barn. No sunshine but it was dry and not too cold. Nine of us set out with Brian leading. Brian decided to lead us into the northern section of the Park. . . . . .
No walk today from the Sports Centre . Fourteen of us turned up at the Town Brow car park. Fairly warm but overcast, we occasionally saw the sun through the clouds. There were patches of blue sky but they never allowed the sun through for us.
Tuesday 16th October - Only four people and Gareth turned up for today's walk, wasn't a very nice morning.
Thursday 11th October - Rain again.! Fortunately not too heavy. Ten of us turned out from the Barn despite the inclement conditions.
Tuesday 9th October - Sunshine, a bit nippy but just right for walking. Fourteen! plus Gareth today who led us off into the Park . . . .
Tuesday 2nd October 2002 - Sunshine again.! No rain! Still not a balmy autumn day though. Nine plus Gareth today who led us off into the Park and across Cam Lane into the cattle, bulls, bullocks, cows, calves and sheep field - not what he expected to find! . . . . .
Thursday 27th September 2012 - Only seven of us today at the Barn - the others are on holiday. Sorry no photos today. The river is going down and we had a dry walk . . . .
Tuesday 25th September 2012 - No sunshine today but rain, rain and more rain. . . . .
Tuesday 18th September - Plenty of sunshine but also plenty of dark clouds . There was no walk from the Sports Centre today, Gareth is away at a presentation in Birmingham. . . . . .

Thursday 12th July 2012 - A Special Day - Ranger Michael took us into the Nature Reserves

Tuesday 19th June - Oh some very black clouds and we'd had showers. What to wear? Is it going to rain? Is it going to be warm?
Undeterred, we all met at the Sports Centre. I say all only six of us turned up today plus Gareth. . . . .
Tuesday 12th June - A lovely morning, nice change from the last two. Another big turnout, fifteen. Gareth led us off into the Park and on to Cam Lane. We walked down Sheephill . . . .
Thursday 7th June - Raining - not very encouraging but seven of us turned up for the walk. Brian asked me, Michael, to be the leader today so, in view of the weather, I suggested . . . .
Tuesday 5th June - Months ago one of us was enthusiastic about having a picnic in the Walled Orchard to celebrate the diamond jubilee - not all were enthusiastic, the picnic was OK but . . . .
Tuesday 28th May - Today's walk was from the Sports Centre and we were delighted to welocme four new walkers . . . .
Thursday 24th May 2012 - A Walk from the Barn - would the sun break through? Brian led us into the Pinetum, the Rhododendrons were all in bloom
Tuesday 22nd May 2012 - The walk from the Sports Centre. The best Tuesday this year! Warm and sunny - blue skies - summer at last - Ha Ha. Today we were twelve including Gareth our leader. I think that's the most we've ever had on a Tuesday. . . . . .
Tuesday 15th May 2012 - Heading south from the Sports Centre Gareth led us across Clayton Green Road, through the path, across Sheep Hill Lane into Manor Road, eventually past the school and into Back Lane. We entered the Park . . . .
Thursday 10th May 2012 - Health Walk from the Barn. And then there were three - the Leader, Brian, Elizabeth and the Back Marker, Michael. . . . .

Tuesday 24th April 2012 - - Eleven of us today including Gareth our leader. We had two Elizabeths, two Helens and two Caroles, well a Carole and a Carol, a Jacqueline, a Peter, a Mary and a Michael. . . . .
Thursday 19th April 2012 - a trial walk for possible new health walkers to see if they can manage a normal walk.
Tuesday 17th April 2012 - It could be a lovely morning but would it rain? - there were ten of us when we set out from the Sports Centre following Gareth as he strode off to the south. After a couple of hundred metres . . . . .
Tuesay 10th April 2012 - Not sure whether there was a walk or not some turned up at the Sports Centre and, encouraged by the rain, repaired to ASDA.
Easter Monday 9th April 2012 - Despite the disappointing weather most of us and partners turned up at the Beaumont for our Easter Walk and Lunch. Helen had done us proud, eveyone enjoyed the walk and particularly the lunch.
Thursday 5th April 2012 - The first walk officially led by Michael - it was a loveely morning . . . . .

Tuesday 27th March 2012 - It was a lovely morning and there were six of us plus Gareth. Two of those missing had a dental appointment, one's on holiday, one's on duty elsewhere and one's not well . . . . .

Tuesday 20th March 2012 - Gareth led today's Health Walk from the Sports Centre. Again there were eight of us plus Gareth.
Tuesday 13th March 2012 - Gareth was in energetic form when he led today's Health Walk from the Sports Centre, he'd skipped his usual gym first thing.

For once we were in glorious sunshine.

We set off in light drizzle, walking across the car park with the two Elizabeths in the lead . . . . .
Thursday 23rd February 2012 - - the monthly Health Walk from the Barn. A dull start to the day but it brightened up as we walked along becoming a lovely sunny spring day. Ten of us . . . . . . .
Tuesday 21st February 2012 - Another Health Walk from the Sports Centre. Today's theme was water, there was certainly plenty of it around. There were seven of us today plus Gareth, there would have been eight but . . . .
