Health Walk - Tuesday 3rd November 2015

Rather dull but OK for walking

Today we had 11 walkers - Brian, Carmel, Carole, Elizabeth E, Frankie, Lawrence, Linda E, Michael, Pat, Peter and Sue.

Michael was leading and selected CVP Route 4 clockwise.

We set off towards the Cinder Path and arrived at Cock Cabin Pond all together.  Leaving Cock Cabin Wood Brian, Peter and Sue kept to the Cycle Track whilst the rest of up dropped down into Walkers Wood.

We joined up together again as we left the wood but across the Stone Bridge Brian, Peter and Sue left us again to walk along the riverside.

We walked up to the Lake and round the Lake and into the field

We walked through Dog Kennel Wood, Gravel Hole Wood and up Cardiac Hill. Here we joined thee path that Brian, Peter and Sue had taken but when we got into the Pinetum Peter elected to walk up on top to see the bird feeders and Bernadette's plaque.

The rest of us walked up along the edge of the Pinetum to see the progress on the new visitors centre.

Back in the Barn we were pleased to meet Jim and June.  We introduced them to the walkers who have joined us since they last were able to walk and we all enjoyed our refreshments

Carmel has been to see how the Beaumont now it is under new management and recommended that we have our New Year's Walk from there again

Today's walks

Brian, Peter and Sue walked with us on the green arrows and did the green route except where Peter walked the dotted green path at the end.
