Health Walk - Thursday 3rd December 2015

Photos by Michael - Please click on photos to see a larger one

Despite this miserable damp and drizzly morning, fifteen people turned up to walk - Ann, Bernadette D, Carmel, Carol, Colin D, David H, Elizabeth M, Graham, Jacqueline, James, Michael, Paul, Peter, Sandy and Sue.

David took the lead again.

Again it was too wet for the Cinder Path so David led us off into the Pinetum and down to the Wooden Bridge.   Here Jacqueline, and Sue turned left with Peter leading the short walk - green route - and we went right up into Gravel Hole Wood.

Coming out of Dog Kennel Wood we climbed up into the Field then down round the Lake.

Across the Stone Bridge and into Cock Cabin Wood.

We paused round Cock Cabin Pond to check we were all together.  These aren't the same photo but they might as well be.  We continued round and back down Bikers' Hill climbing Snake Hill to the new visitors centre.

Work is still in progress despite the drizzle, sometimes rain.  The Farmers Market gazebos providing a little shelter from the rain.   The volunteers are working on the front of the centre.  Ideally they would be putting the boards on the roof but the forecast is for a few days of strong winds so they are working on the front waiting for a period of calm.

Back in the Barn we were joined by Helen G and Mary for tea/coffee and Sandy's birthday cake.
