Today we had eighteen walkers - Ann, Bernadette D, Carmel, Carol, Carole, Colin, David H, Elizabeth M, Graham, Helen F, Jacqueline, James, Linda D, Mary, Michael, Paul, Peter and Sue.  Elizabeth H and Sandy also did a very short walk making twenty.

Some sunshine and the rain held off.

The building is really beginning to take shape with subtle changes every time we pass.  On Tuesday afternoon we attended a seminar on Living Buildings in the LWT Visitors Centre (Where we start and end our walks).  The project is the first registered Living Building in the UK and the project team, Living Buildings, Straw Works and the Trust are striving to get the new Visitors Centre Certified and a Living Building.

Peter leading the short walk - green route.

I got talking to the construction team and got left well behind as have Peter and Sue who were to leave us and walk along the bottom to the Wooden Bridge and up through the Pinetum via the viewing area.  Peter had put bird food down earlier which probably helped Sandy to get these lovely photographs of a Robin and a Nuthatch when she and Elizabeth H

Here we are at Hawks Clough.

David took us up past the Ponderosa, inappropriately named Camlane Cottage, and along Cam Lane.  As we reached the steps down into Green Wood, Carole and Linda D elected to retrace their steps rather than do the more arduous track through Green Wood.

We dropped down into Green Wood, walking round the top and descending back down to Hawks Clough again via the muddy mess at the lowest point.

We followed the path down through the Field to the Stone Bridge.

As we crossed the Stone Bridge Ann, Carmel, Carol. Jacqueline and Elizabeth M left us taking a short cut home - blue route, also blue for Carole and Linda - confusing I know but it's hard to keep track even I couldn't remember exactly where we had been.

David carried on up into Cock Cabin Wood, round the pond and back to the Barn via the Cinder Path

Eventually we all met up in the Barn for our refreshments, the tea/coffee and biscuits.

Peter & Sue did 1.56 miles; Bernadette, main walk, did 8296 steps
