Health Walk - Thursday 5th May 2016

Today we had twenty walkers - Ann, Bernadette, Carole, David, Elizabeth H, Graham, Gwen, Helen F, Irene T, Jacqueline, James, Jennifer, Linda D, Linda P, Mary, Maureen, Michael, Sandy, Suzie and Walter.  It was Walter's first walk with us.

Another fine sunny morning - how the sun lifts the photos!

David was leading and we set off towards the Cinder Path.

These delightful Daisies and Dandelions are all over the Park, these are on Sue Ryder's drive.

Walking through the wood there are beautiful Bluebells everywhere

Mounting the steps up to the Lake we were pleased to see three goslings today

Sadly the photos come to and end as we left the Lake to ascend the steps into the Field walking back down and entering Dog Kennel Wood.

We climbed through Dog Kennel Wood into Gravel Hole Wood dropping down again to the Wooden Bridge.

Struggling up Cardiac Hill we caught up with Elizabeth and Sandy coming out of the Walled Orchard where they had been entertained by Dave, the Head Gardener.  Sue stayed around the Pinetum/Walled Orchard

It will be Carole's birthday on Saturday so she had brought cakes for us all to eat with our drinks.
