David was leading.  He explained his plans to go into the north area of the Park and set off towards the Cinder Path.  Michael was the back marker and Sue was leading the short walk.  Around this point, Cuerden Close, Sue left the main group to lead the short walk with Carmel. You can still see Carmel in photo 2 but she doubled back and caught up with Sue,

At the lowest point of our walk watching the Coots on the water - we could only see three of the young ones.

We returned under the M65 and over the M6 to walk round Cock Cabin Pond, down into Walkers Wood and climbed up Snake Hill

Peter working hard as usual.  We thought this was progress on the veranda but Peter said later on Facebook "Actually undoing the work done the previous day as we found the roof A-frame support didn't line up with the foundation. Just another problem to overcome."

Lovely sunshine on the roof.  When will the shingles arrive?

Suzie and Carmel doubled back to the Barn then started all over again walking down to the Stone Bridge, along the bottom and up Cardiac Hill through the Pinetum back to the Barn - green route and arrows.

It was Carmel's turn to provide cakes, one she had baked herself, Bara Brith, and a chocolate cake.
