Health Walk - Thursday 21st July 2016

Today we had twenty-three walkers - Ann, Bernadette, Betty, Carmel, Carol, Colin C, Colin D, David, Elizabeth M, Graham, Helen G, Jacqueline, James, Jean, Jennifer, Linda E, Margaret R, Mary, Michael, Pam, Walter, Suzie and Zandra.

It was Jean, Margaret R and Pam's first walk with us

Dry with some lovely warm sunshine

David was leading.  He explained his plans to go into the Pinetum, over the Wooden Bridge, through Gravel Hole Wood and Dog Kennel Wood, into the Field, round the Lake, over the Stone Bridge, through Walkers Wood, Cock Cabin Wood, along the Cinder Path, Sue Ryder Drive and back to the Barn.

Michael was the back marker.

Sue was leading the short walk down to the Stone Bridge, up to the Lake, along the river, over the Wooden Bridge, up through the Pinetum and back to the Barn - green route.

As we were leaving the Lake we saw this woman fishing with her man watching - something I've never seen in the Park before

Walking along the bottom of the Dam, Walter isn't on his own, he's walking with me at the back - you can only count eighteen plus me, three went off with Sue.

On a warm day like this we can usually see several Damselflies and the odd Dragonfly but today we didn't see any although we did see something that looked like a shark's tail fin - photo 7.
