Michael leading, Lawrence Back Marking, Peter Leading the short walk.

I think it was sunny when we left the Barn but it soon became overcast however it didn't spoil our walk.

We set off towards the Cinder Path.  As we rounded the corner into Sue Ryder Drive Peter led his group, well Suzie, round the front of the Hall.

We entered Cock Cabin Wood, walked round the Pond and emerged to drop down into Walkers Wood.

We crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up the steps to the Lake

I think it was Graham who spotted the funghi as we walked along the Dam.

We were surprised to see Peter and Suzie walking down the slope

We didn't carry on round the Lake but walked straight up into Dog Kennel Wood - the slope doesn't get any easier.

Leaving Gravel Hole Wood, to the relief of some of us, we avoided Cardiac Hill but continued north along the Cycle Track

The new building looks magnificent, everyone is anxious to move in but it will be some time before we will be able to do so.

Back over the Stone Bridge and up Snake Hill.  This really stretched us out.

I love this picture because of the happy smiling walkers.  Frankie pointed out that when she's leading there will be more stops!

I can't think where we've been?  Carol and Elizabeth hadn't met for many days so they had a lot to catch up on.

Peter and Suzie had walked round the front of the Hall, down Snake Hill, up the steps round the Lake and then back down along the Cycle Track, over the Wooden Bridge up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Barn where the laid out the chairs and tea things for us all.

No Sandy this morning and we were shocked to find out that she had dislocated her shoulder.  Hope you soon feel well again Sandy.
