Sixteen walkers today - Carmel, Colin C, Colin D, Elizabeth M, Frankie, Graham, Irene S, Irene T, James, Karin, Michael, Peter, Sandy, Suzie, Sylvia and Zandra.

Threat of rain or drizzle.  Drizzle forecast.  We started with a few drops but we finished dry

Michael was leading, Elizabeth was back marker to the main walk and Peter was leading the short walk.

Michael outlined his plans for the walk discounting the Cinder Path, it was probably too wet.   James confirmed later that that was the case.

We all set off into the Pinetum and down to the Wooden Bridge.

Over the bridge and Peter led his group off to the left along the river and Michael led the main group right and up into Gravel Hole Wood.

Through Gravel Hole Wood into Dog Kennel Wood then climbed up into the Field, the cows were all lying down.

We dropped down to the Lake and could see the short walkers who had climbed up the slope from the Cycle Track.

We all followed the same path over the Stone Bridge and up into Walkers Wood. As we emerged from Walkers Wood Peter led his group back down Bikers Hill and up Snake Hill back to the Barn

The main group entered Cock Cabin Wood, walked round the Pond and returned down the Cycle Track picking up the same route as the short walkers up Snake Hill

All efforts this week are to get the cafe roof waterproof. You can see the waterproof membrane and the battens for the sheets of special ply, two layers of 9 mm, before the shingles are fitted. They have some ply already installed but I couldn't get the camera to see them.

Is Ian explaining to Peter the finer points of the new building or are they talking about caravans?

Everyone seemed to enjoy the walks.
