Photos by Michael - Please click on photos to see a larger one

Today we had twenty walkers - Ann, Bernadette, Carmel, Colin C, Colin D, Elizabeth H, Elizabeth M, Frankie, Graham, Helen, James, Jean, Linda E, Mary, Michael, Paul, Peter, Sandy, Suzie and Zandra.

It was dull with a few rain drops now and then

Michael was leading, Frankie was back marker and Peter led the short walk

We all set off into the Pinetum.

Peter's group left us to go up round the Viewing Area hoping to see some birds around the feeder.

We continued down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden Bridge and up into Gravel Hole Wood.  We crossed into Dog Kennel Wood leaving the wood to enter the Field.  We reached the steps and walked down to the Lake, round the Lake and down on to the Picnic Area.

We walked along the bottom of the Dam and crossed the Stone Bridge, walking up Bikers Hill avoiding the detour through Walkers Wood and entered Cock Cabin Wood.

We paused round the Pond leaving the wood and walked to the Cinder Path.  We left the Cinder Path walking a short way up Sue Ryder's Drive to the field entrance where we joined James' Walk.

The Park appeared to be crawling with teenagers seemingly Orienteering.

Peter's group walked own from the Viewing Area and walked up the path at the eastern of the Pinetum alongside the new building.  They crossed the main path and walked to the Hall walking round to the front in the opposite direction to the rest of us.  The continued down Sue Ryder's Drive and into Cuerden Close crossing the wood at the bottom into Berkeley Drive and Back to the Barn

We were all reunited in the Barn for tea/coffee and biscuits, well those of us didn't have to dash off to other events.

Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the walks.

Good to see you all this morning to walk in Cuerden Valley's Health Walk

The Chorley Walks.
