Health Walk - Thursday 24th November 2016

Today we had eighteen walkers
A lovely frosty sunny morning, where were all the walkers?
Carmel was leading, Frankie volunteered to be back marker and Peter led the short walk.
We set off towards the Cinder Path
We came out onto the Cycle Track and, avoiding Cock Cabin Wood we

entered Walkers Wood
We crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up the slope and entered the Field.
At Hawks Clough we continued up towards the Ponderosa.

Part way up the hill Frankie called for a rest as the old men at the back (not in the photograph) were out of puff. Everyone seems happy.
We walked along Cam Lane dropping down into Green Wood and up to the top then descended down again and back up to Hawks Clough
Back in the Field we dropped down to the entrance to Dog Kennel Wood. Here Carmel gave us the choice of a short cut back to the Barn up Snake Hill, which two walkers opted for, or going up into the wood.

The sun was shining as it continued to do for the rest of the day

and walking along towards the Wooden Bridge

Peter chose to lead his flock straight down Snake Hill towards the Stone Bridge
but turning left up into Cock Cabin Wood. Retracing their steps to the Stone Bridge and then along the river to the Wooden Bridge where they preceded us up Cardiac Hill.

The new building, it will be good to end our walks there when it is habitable - I think we will move in before it is completed.
