Health Walk - Thursday 9th March 2017

Today we had thirty-one walkers for a dry and sunny morning.  That includes David B & Marie RT who started with us but soon fell away and Judy M and her two volunteer assistants.  Judy M is organising the Wags and Wellies sponsored dog walk next Sunday in aid of Derian House and she was just relearning the route they will take.

Helen was leading the main walk with Michael S as back marker.  

Suzie was leading the Elite walk.

We had Marie with us from Radio Lancashire and David was helping her to get the feel of the Park

Helen took us down Sue Ryder's Drive and on to the Cinder Path

We emerged on to the Cycle Track and walked along to Cock Cabin Pond

As we walked round the Pond we spotted this massive clump of frog spawn.

We left Cock Cabin Wood and entered Walkers Wood.

Emerging from Walkers Wood we avoided the large puddle on the direct path again.

The Elite walkers, having walked down Snake Hill and up through Walkers Wood and into Cock Cabin Wood followed us down Bikers Hill and over the Stone Bridge

We climbed up to the Lake and didn't see anything out of the ordinary as we we walked round and climbed up into the Field only to walk back down to the entrance to Dog Kennel Wood.

Helen led us up into the Wood and on through Gravel Hole Wood.

The Elite walkers were still following us up the steps and round the first part of the Lake path but they went down the slope to walk along the river and over the Wooden Bridge ahead of us and led us up Cardiac Hill back to the Barn
