Health Walk - Tuesday 14th March 2017

Promising weather but the sun disappeared as we started, 38 walkers took part. Another good turnout.
John W was leading, Margaret W was back marker and Peter leading the Elite walk, only five today.
John took us into the Pinetum and down Cardiac Hill
Peter led his group round the side of the Barn and through the gap in the wall and across the front of the Hall so we were already going in opposite directions
He took them round the side of the Hall and joined the main path and down towards the Stone Bridge. They crossed the Stone Bridge and walked along the bottom of the Dam, up the steps and round the Lake entering Dog Kennel Wood

They walked on through Gravel Hole Wood were this sign amused them. They crossed the Wooden Bridge, climbed up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Barn. They had covered common ground with the Main group but in the opposite direction.
John crossed the Wooden Bridge, turning right then left up into Gravel Hole Wood and on through Dog Kennel Wood

We came out of Dog Kennel Wood and climbed up into the Field and back down again to the Lake's east shore.

We carried on round the Lake and crossed the Stone Bridge and turned into Walkers Wood

into Cock Cabin Wood, round the Pond and along the Cinder Path

John is the only leader so far who has managed to get all the walkers on the right side of Sue Ryder's Drive
