Health Walk - Thursday 6th April 2017

Today we had thirty-five walkers.
John W was leading the main walk, James was back marker.
Peter was leading the short walk with Suzie back marker.
Carmel avoided because it was guaranteed to be wet and muddy after all the rain since Tuesday
The main group walked into the Pinetum the short walk group choosing to go through Sue Ryder's ginnel.

Michael S, late starting due to administration purposes, got this photo as the walkers were descending from the Viewing Area.
We walked down Cardiac Hill, crossed the Wooden Bridge, up between Gravel Hole Wood and Black Banks Wood into Gravel Hole Wood.
Leaving Dog Kennel Wood we climbed up into the field and along to Hawks Clough. Leaving Hawks Clough we walked up past the Ponderosa and dropped down into Green Wood following the path up and down.

Here we've descended the long steps and are on our way back to Hawks Clough.

We walked along the edge of The Field down to the Lake were we saw the short walk group on the other side.

We saw them again as we walked along the Dam

Walking round the Picnic area, where it looks like there's a new picnic table.

We crossed the Stone Bridge behind the short walk group and walked up Snake Hill back to the Barn

The short walk group, when they left the Hall walked along James' Path where they saw the first Bluebell then down Sue Ryder's Drive to the Cinder Path

Leaving the Cinder Path they walked along the Cycle Track to Cock Cabin Wood, round the Pond and out of the wood and walked through Walkers' Wood crossing the Stone Bridge, round the Picnic Area up to the Lake where we saw them as we walking on the other side.

It was also Aysha and Keith's first walk.
