Health Walk - Tuesday 18th April 2017

A lovely sunny spring morning at last. Thirty-seven walkers took part.
Carmel was leading, Michael S was back marker. Susan S was leading the Optional Walk Group but no back marker, ten today.

Into the Pinetum first. The short option walkers set off the other way towards the Cinder Path

We crossed the Wooden Bridge, headed up into Gravel Hole Wood

and into Dog Kennel Wood among the Bluebells

Leaving Dog Kennel Wood and climbing up into the Field then descending down to the Lake.
We walked round the Lake, down the steps to the Picnic Area where we saw the other group heading up the slope to the Lake to follow our path round the Lake.
We crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up into Walkers Wood, the route the option group had just come down.
We carried on into Cock Cabin Wood and round the Pond going in the opposite direction along the route the option group had come.

Cuckoo Flower or Lady's Smock, earlier than last year like the Marsh Marigolds.
We walked down the Cinder Path and back to the Barn.
The option group crossed the Stone Bridge, walked up Snake Hill and along the sunny side of the Hall back to the Barn.
