Forty-eight walkers this morning, twelve opted for the short walk

Lawrence was leading the main walk with Frankie back marking.   Suzi was leading the Optional Short Walk Group with Pat back marking.

It was a gloomy morning, Scotch mist, some of the out of focus photos reflect this

The short option walkers crossing the Stone Bridge.  They had gone direct down Snake hill passed the new building, the path is open again.  We turned left before the bridge but the Elite walkers walked along the river to the Wooden Bridge and walked up Snake Hill.  As they entered the Pinetum they turned right up the steep incline to walk alongside the new building and back along the sunny side (ha ha) of the Hall down past Sue Ryder's cafe and round the back to the Barn.

Lawrence took the main group up through Walkers Wood into Cock Cabin Wood and round the pond

Lawrence took us round the Lake, through the Kissing Gate up the steps into the Field where we had another short rest before walking down to the other Kissing Gate and up into Dog Kennel Wood.

Through Gravel hole Wood, over the Wooden Bridge, up Cardiac Hill, through the Pinetum back to the Barn
