Forty-one walkers this morning, eleven opted for the short walk

James was leading the main walk with Michael S back marking.   Brian L was leading the optional short walk group with Suzi back marking.

It was a strange morning, sunshine and black clouds but we dodged the rain.

James led us round the back of the Barn where Graham spotted this Holly Blue

James led us down Sue Ryder's Drive but left the road to walk along James Path back to the front of the Hall.  We walked round the Hall and joined the path to Snake Hill.  We walked down to the Stone Bridge, crossing and walking up the slope to the Field

Sorry this funghi is a little out of focus, there are several on a tree near the pond.

We crossed the road and started down the hill when Graham found this pigeon

which appeared to be lost.  He found a safe spot to leave it

A we neared the bottom of Sheep Hill James took us up into the south side of the Park.

We came out on to Back Lane and walked down to cross the main road back into the Park at Town Brow.

We walked along the Cycle Track and crossed the Wooden Bridge to walk up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Barn.

The Elite walkers, led by Brian, walked down Snake Hill, crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up the slope into Dog Kennel Wood, through Gravel Hole Wood, down to and along the Cycle Track to the short steps up to the Lake, walked along the Dam then down the long steps to walk along the bottom of the Dam, over the Stone Bridge, and back up Snake Hill to the Barn
