Today we had twenty-eight walkers, two dogs, Otis & Paddy, and no rain, the quiet after the last storm and before the next due in a couple of days.

Carmel was leading the main walk with Michael S back marking.  Peter led the Elite group with Sue back marking.

Carmel led off into the Pinetum

Photographing the Elite walkers caused me to be way behind so I took a short cut but still missed the leaders as they walked down Cardiac Hill.

Over the Wooden Bridge and up into Gravel Hole Wood, passing into Dog Kennel Wood emerging and negotiating the Kissing Gate up into the Field

Walking along Cam Lane, as we have now come to know this track, we saw this large old tree broken by the storm.  The fallen trunk made me think of people so I twisted it round to Photo 4 to see what my illusion was

We pressed on to Hawks Clough and climbing up to the Ponderosa.  Someone has pointed out that Rick Astley has bought it for his Mum?

We left Cam Lane to descend down the steps into Green Wood.  Climbing back up along the top and down more steps to walk back to Hawks Clough and rejoining Cam Lane to walk down to the Kissing Gate.

After our tea/coffee and biscuits most walkers help to clean up and load the dishwasher.
