Today we had twenty-six walkers and Otis - it had been pouring down all night up to just before the start but we had a rainless walk.   It wasn't dry underfoot but Margaret found us a dry-underfoot route, thank you Margaret.  John was back Marker.

Margaret explained her plans and led us off along the path through the scrub and down Snake Hill.  She took us across the Stone Bridge and

along the Cycle Track to Town Brow.

We climbed up Sheep Hill crossing over into Cam Lane and

This gate is at the bottom of the steps from the side entrance to the Hall.  A few steps further on we

pass this gate.  This gate used to lead to the drive down to Stag Lodge, it was their way to St. Saviours Church, which I think they built for themselves and the community.

We followed Margaret along the front of the Hall and round the side of their barn/stables

past this lovely tree and back to the LWT Barn

The Elite walkers started off as we had finished, round the side of the Barn and the front of the Hall then picking up our path down Snake Hill and over the Stone Bridge.  Peter was leading but here he asked Suzi to take over.  Suzi choose to walk along the bottom of the Dam, up the Long Steps to the Lake, round the Lake and up into Dog Kennel Wood, Gravel Hole Wood, Cardiac Hill, side of the Pinetum past the new building and back to the Barn where they were waiting for us.
