Health Walk - Tuesday 5th December 2017

Today we had forty-four walkers and Otis who were rewarded with a lovely walk under the clouds but no rain.  

Carmel led the main walk with Michael S back marking.  Susan S led the Elite group with Pat R back marking.

Carmel went through her introductary talk and led us off into the Pinetum down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden BRidge and up into Gravel Hole Wood.

Suzi followed with the Elite walkers.

We walked on into Dog Kennel Wood.

As we left the wood Carmel took the main group through the Kissing Gate into the Filed, now on Cam Lane,

whereas Suzi took the Elite walkers along the Lake side and down the Long Steps towards the Stone Bridge

Continuing along Cam Lane the outline of these trees was interesting, to Michael, very old and fascinating.

We left Cam Lane after the Kissing Gate at Hawks Clough and dropped down over the footbridge and the temporary 'bridge' over the muddy pool to climb up into Green Wood and twalk round the back of ASDA.

We climbed the challenging steps out of the wood and back onto Cam Lane twalking back to Hawks Clough watching the gates to the Ponderosa close as we were passing

We walked along Cam Lane to the Kissing Gate and walked down the slope to the Stone Bridge leaving Alan, Brenda and Otis playing in the river.

We followed the Elite walkers up Snake Hill back to the Barn.
