Health Walk - Thursday 17th May 2018

Today we had thirty-two walkers.

Irene S led the main walk mentored by Michael S with Sheila T back marking with Frankie mentoring.  

Colin C led the short option walk, with Jen back marking and Suzi mentoring

It was a lovely sunny morning again

She led us off into the Car Park and into the Pinetum

There were at least three Moorhen chicks but I wasn't quick enough, they disappeared into the vegetation!

She took us north along the river by way of Cardiac Hill, the Wooden Bridge and

We went down to the Kissing Gate

Then Irene took south us along the river

Many regret that we can't use the stepping stones now as the bottom step has disappeared

Leaving the river to walk back along the Cycle Track all the way

to the Stone Bridge and then back up Snake Hill to the Visitors Centre

Colin took the Elite walkers round the front of Cuerden Hall, down the drive, along the Cinder Path then into Cock Cabin Wood

Leaving the wood they went into Walkers Wood, emerging they crossed the Stone Bridge, crossed the Picnic Area to climb the Long Steps to the Lake, walked round the Lake to the Slope, came down the Slope, walked along the Cycle Track to the Wooden Bridge, Climbed up Cardiac Hill round past the Walled Garden and back to the Visitors centre.
