2003

Weekend 29/30th March 2003  Drilled out holes for tabernacle and ground the bolt heads that would be on the beam and possible danger to one's head, rounding them off.  Round about now we, Sue and I, Sue was now working with me, re-fitted the tabernacle, another milestone and 'worrying' obstacle overcome.

We'd spent the early part of 2003 helping Dominique to repair a hole in her Solo hull and generally refurbish   her boat and launching trolley.  It had been very cold and there wasn't much enthusiasm for working on the Tamarisk.

July We both went on the Family Cruise in Brian Robert's Grey Goose.
August
We then had some hot weather and a very hot summer, which dried out the front boards of the cabin and separating them producing 2 mm gaps.  How to fill the gaps?  Would they expand back again when the sheet was removed?

Repaired the gaps in the cabin front.

Sketched and measured up cabin entrance.

Painstakingly cleaning up the portholes. I ground off all the peeling chrome and using wet or dry paper, about half a dozen grades, got a nice polish on them.
Sometime around now we must have done the port holes, judging by sequence of photos in camera
