Health Walk - Tuesday 18th September 2018

Today we had twenty-four walkers.
It was a wet and windy morning the sun coming out to mock us in the afternoon
Carmel led the main walk with Sheila T back marker. Suzi led the short option (Elite) walk with Colin C back marker.

She led us up into the Car Park and down into the Pinetum, over the Wooden Bridge and up into Gravel Hole Wood where she paused to let us panting ones rest.
She continued into Dog Kennel Wood coming out to take the Kissing Gate into the Field
Unbeknown to us the Elite walkers had followed our path but had turned down the Slope and crossed the Stone Bridge and after zigzagging on the path to Bikers Hill climbed Snake Hill
Carmel continued along Cam Lane at Hawks Clough dropping down over the footbridge and taking us up into Green Wood and round the back of ASDA
She led the climb back on to Cam Lane

The Elite walkers passed through the Kissing Gate at the top of Snake Hill and turned up to walk round the sunny side (ha ha) of Cuerden Hall and back through the Park car park to the Visitors Centre
