Health Walk - Tuesday 16th October 2018

Photos by Michael S & Sheila T - Please click on photos to see a larger one

Today we had forty-nine walkers, twelve of whom did the Elite walk, and Paddy

A lovely dry morning for our walk but sadly no sun to highlight all the autumn colours in their glory.

Carmel led the main walk with James back marker.   Colin C led the short option (Elite) walk with John B back marker.

Michael, already way behind took a short cut into the Pinetum to get these photos but still hasn't captured everyone.  We went down Cardiac Hill and over the Wooden Bridge

The entrance gate, now always closed, supposed to have new owners.  We carried on down Cam Lane on the edge of Green Wood back to Hawks Clough and still on Cam Lane

we walked down through the Kissing Gate and across the Stone Bridge to walk up Snake Hill back to the Visitors Centre where the smoke tests were still in progress - no Cafe today

The short walkers had returned and already dispersed.  They had set off down Snake Hill, turned left up Bikers Hill, on to walk round Cock Cabin Wood anticlockwise returning down Bikers Hill, crossed the Stone Bridge, walked along the river, Cycle Path, over the Wooden Bridge, up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Visitors Centre.
