Today we had fifty-two walkers, possibly more, and two dogs

A dry morning for our walk but sadly no sun.

Irene S was to lead the main group but she was unable to make it after having got ready to leave home couldn't get out of their house - a leg-pulling story to last for ever.
John W was down to be back marker so he agreed to lead.  Carmel refused to back mark and Michael stepped in but Carmel took over and decided to lead John being returned to back marker and Michael freed.
Maggie led the short option (Elite) walk with Brain L back marker.

Sue led a special walk with two new walkers one of whom was just starting to walk again after serious injury.

Carmel led the main group straight into the Pinetum to walk down Cardiac Hill

We went over the Wooden Bridge turning left to walk along the river/Cycle Path.

We crossed the Stone Bridge and walked up through Walkers Wood rejoining the Cycle Path, where we met the Elite walkers who had just emerged from the Cinder Path, to cross the M6 go under the M65 and enter the north side of the Park to walk anticlockwise

and climb again over the M6 and down the Cinder Path, The Hall Drive, round the Hall and back to the Visitors Centre.

The Elite walkers set off down Snake Hill only to turn to walk round the Hall, down the Drive, along the Cinder Path, out on to the Cycle Path into Cock Cabin Wood where the now many fallen leaves made it hard to find the path but they emerged to carry on down the Cycle Path and up Snake Hill back to the Visitors Centre

We had among the new walkers today David and Joyce G.  David is recovering from an accident so Suzi created a special walk for him, blue route, keeping to the upper area of the Park
