Health Walk - Tuesday 30th October 2018

Today we had forty-one walkers and Paddy

A chilly sunny morning for our walk.

James led the main group with Irene S back marker.

Again Suzi led the Elite group with again Margaret W back marker.  

James took us down Snake Hill for a short distance and then

round the Hall and along James' Walk coming out on to the Drive behind the Elite walkers who had started in the Car Park going round the south side of the Hall on to the Drive.

The main group followed the Elite group along the Cinder Path coming out on to the Cycle Path where

the Elite group waited for the main group to pass

The Elite group entered Cock Cabin Wood but the main group carried on on the Cycle Path and into Walkers Wood which the Elite group avoided.

Both groups crossed the Stone Bridge but the main group walked up the Slope on to Cam Lane whereas the Elite Group continued along the Cycle Path along the river crossing the Wooden Bridge, walking up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum and back to the Visitors Centre

Cam Lane past the Ponderosa and down into Green Wood where the leaders were alarmed as the path was blocked because of repairs to the first bridge however Lis new the new diversion over a small bridge back on to the path round the back of ASDA

to drop down the steps and back on to Cam Lane at Hawks Clough following Cam Lane to the Stone Bridge and climbing Snake Hill back to the Visitors Centre
