Health Walk - Tuesday 25th December 2018 - Christmas Day

Today we had nine walkers for our first ever Christmas Day Walk
Overcast but dry
Michael S led the main group with John W back marker.
John B led the Elite group without a back marker.
Michael set off down Snake Hill, crossed the Stone Bridge, up the slope and into Dog Kennel Wood, Gravel Hole Wood, emerging to go over the Lower Stile into the Cow Field. Somewhat of a climb but we made it to the Top Stile. We crossed Cam Lane and dropped down into Green Wood to follow the path round the back of ASDA back on to Cam Lane at Hawks Clough
We walked along the Field, down the Steps, through the Kissing Gate to

the Lake. We walked round the Lake, down the Long Steps, along the bottom of the Dam across to the Cycle Path along which we walked to the Wooden Bridge, up Cardiac Hill into the Pinetum. As the Visitors Centre was closed we walked on a little way and turned up the diagonal path leading back to the Car Park but

At the end of our walk I got them to pose for a photo.
Jon B went that opposite way to us, into the Pinetum, down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden Bridge turning right up into Gravel Hole Wood, on through Dog Kennel Wood, round the Lake, down the Long Steps, along the bottom of the Dam, over the Stone Bridge, up Snake Hill back to the Visitors Centre where their car was parked.
