Health Walk - Thursday 3rd January 2019

Today we had twenty-six walkers for a chilly morning with sunny intervals.

James was the leader of the main walk with Sheila T back marker, again.  

Colin C led the Elite group with John B back marker.  

James outlined his intentions and set off through the Car Park, parking cameras working today, new number plate spotting system.

Carrying on down Berkeley Drive on to Shady Lane.  Walking south along Shady Lane to Stile

Town Brow where having crossed the road James took us into the south side of the Park.

They walked along the Cycle Path until they came to the first path on the

left which they took to cross the Footbridge and walk up to Wood End Road, Blackthorn Drive, Sheep Hill and back into the Park at the bottom of Sheep Hill/Town Brow.

They walked along the Avenue of Oaks and all the way to the Wooden Bridge, up Cardiac Hill, into the Pinetum and back to the Visitors Centre 

The Elite group entered the Pinetum, walked down Cardiac Hill, over the Wooden Bridge, up into Gravel Hole Wood, through Dog Kennel Wood, out to walk through the Kissing Gate into the Field, down the Steps to the Lake, round the Lake, down the Long Steps, along the bottom of the Dam, over the Stone Bridge and up Bikers Hill, into and out of Cock Cabin Wood, along the Cycle Path to the Cinder Path.  Along the Cinder Path, up the Drive, round the side of the Barn and through the Car Park to the Visitors Centre/Cafe

Today's walks (Red Main Group, Green Short Walk Option Group).  
Where there are green arrows on the red route it means the Elite walkers had followed the main >> or the main group had followed the Elite walkers >>.
