Sheila T:     "A sunny morning which although not as warm as recent days warmed up as we walked. Carmel led the main group of twenty-three walkers and one dog (George) with James back marking. The Elite group of thirteen walkers was led by Margaret W and back marked by Colin C."

Margaret W:     "Today's Elite walk was down towards Snake Hill, but turned off before the Kissing Gate and round the front of the Hall, said hello to a friend we have gained who sits in his wheelchair and seems to watch for us.  We then went along the Cinder Path, round Cock Cabin Wood where we noticed that the safety fence has been damaged, from there we went down the hill, over the Stone Bridge and changed the route we were going to take and followed the river to Cardiac Hill. We went up the hill and took the second turning to the Fairy Village.  We were disappointed to find that it wasn't there so we carried on to the toadstool table and chairs and found the fairies had moved their village to the other side of the path from the toadstools.  They were then called the 'fairy travellers'.  Back to the Visitors Centre for tea/coffee just in time before the other group arrived.
It was a short walk, but we had several stops looking at the bluebells and trees that have beautiful flowers"

Beth:    "through the Pinetum looking for the Fairy Village, found it in it’s new site.  Walked past the toadstools to the car park back to the Visitors Centre.   Bluebells magnificent, the wild Cherry was also in bloom."

Carmel led the main group down Snake Hill, up Bikers Hill into Walkers Wood then
