Sheila:     "A lovely sunny walk this morning shared by 32 long walkers led by Jimmy and back marked by Frankie.  John B led 15 Elite walkers with Beth back marking.  George and Meg our canine friends accompanied the Elite walkers.  Many thanks to our leaders and back markers today."

There are the Elite walkers.  They soon let us passed as we entered Wilbrahams Wood.

Beth: "John led(the Elite group), we walked across the front of Cuerden Hall round the stable block to Berkeley Drive, up the drive and took the narrow path through the shrubs onto the track above the Pinetum, turned down Cardiac, crossed the river, then right onto the cycle track, up year hill through Gravel Hole & Dog Kennel Woods, to the lake, walked round the lake to the long steps, then back to the stone bridge, up Snake, to the cafe (Visitors Centre).   (We were) accompanied by Meg & George.  I back-marked."

The Stepping Stones, no Jimmy didn't take us across.  Notice the wooden stakes driven into the bank to form a wall to stop the bank eroding.  Look carefully and you'll see they are growing!  A Willow stick, branch even though it is apparently prepared to be a stake will start to grow again

Jimmy decided that it would be too wet to cross the stones and walk along the field
